About the Role

Together, let’s open the doors to the future!

In collaboration with the team, you will be called upon to use your technical expertise to ensure that technical support needs are met. You will be responsible for designing and drafting requested designs to meet engineering, new project, maintenance or repair requirements. If you want to put your knowledge to good use and gain hands-on experience, this position is for you!

 

Tasks:

  • Develop designs, create 3D models, prepare, sketches, concepts, (shop) drawings. selection of materials, finishes, etc. with a minimal contribution until the design review;

  • Build 'jigs' and jigs using the 3D printer;

  • Takes precise measurements of existing geometry;

  • Specific design areas include: car door systems, mounting equipment, mechanical systems, interiors and others;

  • Brainstorming ideas with the team;

  • Uses the best practices of the assembly industry;

  • Plan several tasks and respect the delivery schedule;

  • Applies good design practices and knows and understands shop installation practices and procedures;

  • Keeps up to date on work methods, technologies and advances in the field of work;

Requirements

  • Have your DEC, AEC or DEP in drawing, mechanical engineering or other relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of experience

  • Are a SolidWorks Guru

  • Are creative with an eye for detail
