About the Role

Together, let’s open the doors to the future.

In collaboration with our team, you will be responsible for testing and debugging various products such as door operators, DMCUs, DCRPs, and other related tasks.

Tasks:

  • Setup and test the performance of door operators, DMCUs and DCRPs (or other items requiring testing) using assigned equipment, per print specifications and work instructions, via computer interface.

  • Code C+ when necessary

  • Rewire different aspects when required

  • Run diagnostics

  • Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of testing.

  • Load and control associated software on equipment.

  • Demonstrate command of all established Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed unit to ensure unit meets specifications, tolerances, and Work Instruction requirements.

  • Schedule priorities or check with the Production Manager for clarification.

  • Communicate effectively within and between departments to successfully resolve equipment questions, irregularities, and determine solutions

  • Inspect equipment for quality control standards and complete appropriate documentation.

  • Analyze and record test results and prepare written documentation.

  • Operate basic hand and power tools.

  • Maintain a neat and clean work area.

  • Contribute proactively to a team-oriented, continuous improvement environment.

  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established company policies.

Requirements

  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong with an assembly/subassembly

  • Code C+

  • Knowledge of electrical wiring

  • Work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related field, or relevant experience

  • Have neat and legible handwriting

  • Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the workday

  • Computer proficiency in a Windows environment

  • Meticulous with an outstanding attention to detail

  • A strong understanding and demonstrated usage of electro-mechanical applications for a wide variety of equipment is desirable.
