About the Role

Together, let’s open the doors to the future.

In collaboration with Alan and the rest of the team, you will be responsible for the analysis of the manufacturing processes, process and equipment improvements, ensuring design parameters are controlled by the manufacturing process and creating and maintaining work instructions. In this position there is frequent interaction with internal customer related to the technical aspects of the manufacturing process and existing designs.

 

Tasks:

  • Assist in defining and document assembly process specifications

  • Analyze build issues for root cause and define rework instructions as necessary

  • Interface with internal customers for technical issues on assigned projects

  • Monitor production processes in manufacturing facilities

  • Review non-conforming material and justify use, rework, or rejection

  • Responsible for Return Material Authorization activities

  • Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses. Prepare reports, charts, and graphs

  • Assist production manager in defining needs for improving manufacturing processes

  • Provide Cost Estimates for Materials, Documentation, and/or Labor

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field including a minimum of 3 years of experience supporting an industrial product manufacturing environment

  • Experience working with and implementing an ERP system

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented

  • Strong technical verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly motivated and self-directed

  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
